If you're not in that country and are speaking English and it's your native tongue, then it's highly probable that your country (or its foreign ruler's Queen) is the one that originally imposed this system on us
Maybe if every American took a thermodynamics course where the teacher insisted on memorizing the unit conversions we would not have this issue! What an awful semester...
To be fair, humanity did standardize that long ago. There is a country that is refusing to switch to the standard.
